Castle Lite – Ziyabanda feat. Stilo Magalide

Castle Lite needed a way to tell people about their minus 2.5 degree lagering. A pretty obscure part of the brewing process where the beer essentially sits and matures at colder than usual temperatures. Seven rounds of rejected scripts later, we turned the proposition into an online video and entertainment hit by recording a song made out of sounds derived from ice, and then recording it onto a playable record made of ice. (Yes, it actually worked and right up till the moment the needle hit the ice, we weren’t sure it was going to.)

Music video and online film with director, Lebogang Rasethaba, music by Sibot, lyrics and performance by Stilo Magalide. Ice record video by production partners at Hogarth.
